About The Position

Beast Industries is undergoing an AI-first engineering rebuild for a company with an audience of over 100 million people. This is a greenfield project with no legacy constraints. The role involves transforming ambiguous product questions into clear, data-backed answers that directly influence product development and growth strategies. The Data Scientist will collaborate with engineers and product teams, utilizing AI to enhance the speed and efficiency of traditional data science workflows. The work focuses on the data foundation powering product decisions across consumer products, media, gaming, and e-commerce, covering the entire user behavior to actionable insight journey. This includes addressing ambiguous, high-stakes, and time-sensitive product questions, designing and interpreting A/B experiments, and working within a fast-paced team where every analysis is critical and AI tools are integral to the process.

Requirements

• AI-Native: Already using AI tools daily to move faster, from writing queries and building models to exploring data and communicating findings.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data science or analytics.
• Strong SQL, Python, and statistical modeling skills.
• Ability to build tooling and frameworks that make analysis repeatable and reliable.
• Ability to translate vague product questions into tractable data problems.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of the principles of A/B testing and where experiments can go wrong.
• Ability to maintain statistical rigor under deadline pressure.
• Experience with A/B experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud data stack (AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in consumer products, media, gaming, or e-commerce.
• Prior work alongside product or engineering teams in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute analyses that turn raw user behavior into actionable product insights, working closely with engineers and product teams to frame the right questions.
• Own A/B experiments end to end, from experiment design and statistical analysis through to result interpretation and recommendation.
• Communicate findings clearly to product and engineering stakeholders, translating complex analysis into actionable recommendations that drive product decisions.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate your workflow, from data exploration and analysis to insight delivery and iteration.
