Data Scientist
About The Position
Apply strong technical skills and a mission‑focused mindset to understand client needs, identify opportunities, and design solutions for Federal clients. Leverage tools such as Python, SQL, LLMs and platforms such as Databricks to develop data science products and solutions. Communicate clearly to translate technical findings for both technical and non‑technical audiences, including leadership. Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, adapt solutions to mission needs, and drive initiatives forward. Support internal initiatives and business development including RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers.
Requirements
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree
- THREE (3) years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in connecting data sources, wrangling data, and conducting analysis using Python.
- Proficiency in querying databases and wrangling data using SQL.
- Proficiency in developing data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis.
- Ability to learn new software tools.
- Ability to work independently, proactively identify opportunities to add value, and drive initiatives and innovation.
- Ability to clearly communicate and present technical solutions, insights, and results to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
- Ability to support remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the Washington D.C. metro area.
Nice To Haves
- SIX (6) years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience developing AI/ML solutions.
- Experience automating processes using Power Automate.
- Experience supporting Department of State or other Federal Government organizations.
