About The Position

We’re hiring an experienced and motivated Data Scientist in our National Technology Practice to support key internal and external clients. You will work directly with the Technology Team leaders and other business line disciplines of the firm to develop and expand our advanced data analytics platform. Your role will involve participating in the collection, conversion, and assembly of data in various formats, assisting in data analysis to help clients improve operational efficiency, and aiding in the development of data collection systems and databases. You will collect and organize data from diverse sources, discover trends and patterns, combine algorithms and modules, and use machine learning tools for feature selection, and classifier creation and optimization. You will collaborate with team members and leaders to develop a data strategy and create dashboards and reporting tools for decision-makers. Additionally, you will support recruitment, mentorship, and cross-training of staff to build service delivery capabilities. Services may be stand-alone engagements or part of larger projects. You will also perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

BS or BA in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other related degree.
3+ years of experience.
Must be familiar with industry standard database software, dashboard software and have scripting experience with python or “r” software.
Development of dashboards in MS PowerBI and/or Tableau.
Good technical writing, analytical and communications skills essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access is desired.
Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Outlook or equivalent e-mail program is desired as well as the use of Internet and other information processing and storage techniques to support research of alternatives and the definition of designs and concepts.
