About The Position

Boeing Global Services, Distribution Business, is looking for a dynamic Experienced/Senior Data Scientist to join their team. The role supports the deployment and sustainment of demand forecasting & inventory planning software tools, specifically Servigistics / Planning Data Layer (SVG/PDL). The candidate will simulate complex data models using Servigistics (SVG) to sustain forecasting and inventory optimization activities, creating high-quality data models to deliver network-level supply chain strategies that meet Planning metrics. This position involves translating business needs into technical solutions by working with supply chain subject matter experts and technical leaders, with success measured by functioning software and useful inventory planning outcomes for business users.

Requirements

5+ years of experience performing Statistical Analysis
5+ years of experience using research tools and methods
5+ years of experience using SQL for data analytics
Must meet export control compliance requirements.
A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, business, or related fields

Responsibilities

Evaluates model performance and recommends modeling techniques and adjustments to parameters to achieve objectives.
Connects systems and large data sets across business units and functions to develop forecast models that support shifting business and market trends.
Extracts, cleans, builds, and manages data sets to run models and simulations intended to root cause and address system issues.
Determines, defines, and deploys predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet business requirements in forecast accuracy, inventory and stock transfer optimization, and other key processes.
Develops supply chain metrics to track progress to plan over time and stress tests the order pipeline for risks and opportunities.
Uses data visualization to communicate complex data findings through charts, dashboards, and storytelling.
