About The Position

TSPi is seeking a Data Scientist to support data analytics, engineering, and modernization efforts across a range of federal and public sector projects. This role is ideal for a professional with experience working with large, complex datasets and building scalable data solutions that generate actionable insights. The Data Scientist will contribute to data pipeline development, database creation and maintenance, analytics workflows, reporting solutions, and ad hoc data analysis initiatives. This role will work across modern cloud and analytics environments using Python, SQL, PySpark, and business intelligence tools to support data driven decision making and operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate combines strong technical development skills with analytical problem solving abilities and experience working collaboratively in agile, cross functional environments. This position will also support emerging AI and automation initiatives, including the use of large language models (LLMs) and AI assisted development tools to improve workflows and accelerate delivery.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization required
  • Ability to obtain federal clearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PySpark strongly preferred
  • Experience with modern analytics and data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon Quick Sight preferred
  • Experience working within cloud computing environments such as AWS or Azure preferred
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and large scale datasets preferred
  • Experience utilizing AI tools, LLMs, or AI assisted development workflows preferred
  • Experience using Git or similar version control tools within collaborative environments preferred
  • Experience supporting federal, public sector, healthcare, or highly regulated environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, databases, and analytics workflows
  • Write and maintain code using Python, SQL, and PySpark
  • Support data acquisition, transformation, validation, analysis, visualization, and automation efforts
  • Collaborate with cross functional technical and business teams to deliver data driven solutions
  • Apply software development lifecycle and agile methodologies to analytics and engineering work
  • Perform quality assurance activities including testing, defect tracking, and validation of technical deliverables
  • Support modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms, automation, and AI enabled workflows
  • Utilize version control tools such as Git within collaborative development environments
  • Create data products, dashboards, and reporting solutions using business intelligence and visualization tools
  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of AI and LLM enabled solutions to improve operational efficiency
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed
