About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Advanced Analytics Team at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This role will involve utilizing the Army Vantage Data Analytics System to build and implement models, use and create algorithms, and run simulations. The position requires conducting analysis of mission data across multiple domains, formulating and interpreting problems in mathematical or computational terms, and designing, developing, using, and evaluating mathematical models, methods, and algorithm applications to solve customer problems. The Data Scientist will also develop, maintain, and enhance complex software algorithms, research analysis products and tools for integration into Analytics and AI offerings, and create new tools and applications using various software languages, frameworks, and libraries. Additionally, the role involves improving, supporting, and testing an MLOps framework and refining existing applications to better meet customer mission needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of mission data applicable in multiple domains.
• Formulate and interpret problems in mathematical or computational terms.
• Design, develop, use, and evaluate mathematical models, methods, and algorithm application to explore concepts and solve problems for the customer.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software algorithms (e.g. processing-intensive analytics, novel process development, manipulation of large data sets).
• Research analysis products and tools for possible integration to enhance Analytics and AI offerings.
• Create new tools and applications using a variety of software languages, frameworks, and libraries.
• Improve, support, and test a MLOps framework to support other team member’s analysis work.
• Refine and enhance existing applications to better meet the customer’s mission.
