About The Position

This role involves performing data analysis to support Navy fraud analytics, audit readiness, internal controls effectiveness, and data-driven decision making. The Data Scientist will develop, test, and maintain data models, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products using enterprise data sources and modern analytics platforms. They will also support the design and implementation of AI/ML models to enhance forecasting, risk analysis, readiness optimization, and operational decision support. Collaboration with data engineers, architects, business analysts, and government stakeholders is key for gathering requirements, validating data, identifying trends, and recommending solutions. Additionally, the role requires analyzing data quality issues, identifying anomalies, and supporting the development of automated monitoring and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • THREE (3) or more years of experience performing data analysis, statistical modeling, business intelligence, data visualization, or related analytics work.
  • Experience using data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Jupiter Notebook, Databricks, Palantir, Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, predictive analytics, data modeling techniques, and data management best practices.
  • Experience supporting Department of War, U.S. Navy, federal government, or large enterprise analytics programs.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML/Data Science frameworks and techniques, including predictive modeling, classification, clustering, natural language processing, or optimization methods.
  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics environments such as Advana/War Data Platform, Databricks, Palantir, AWS, Azure, or similar enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Power Platform, Databricks, Palantir Foundry, business intelligence architecture, data governance principles, and data quality management practices.
  • Experience communicating analytical findings through executive briefings, dashboards, technical reports, and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
