About The Position

David AI is an audio data research company that develops datasets with an R&D approach. Its Data Science team turns business activity into insights, metrics, and data foundations that guide company growth, partnering with product, engineering, research, operations, and go-to-market teams.

As a Data Scientist, you will use data to inform company decisions: identify what to build, measure whether it is working, and establish foundations for defining, storing, and trusting data. The role spans experimentation, deep-dive analysis, forecasting, dashboards, and modeling, as well as building reliable data pipelines and models.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working as a product Data Scientist on a cross-functional team.
• Experience turning ambiguous problems into clear recommendations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and owning work end-to-end.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools and agentic workflows, supported by SQL and Python skills to validate their output.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data models, for example with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Experience defining company-wide metrics, building a data dictionary, or setting up analytics governance.
• Experience with audio data, data research companies, or LALM evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally to identify high-leverage business problems and drive them to resolution.
• Form and advocate a point of view on individual and team priorities, using data to shape the roadmap.
• Define core metrics for the health of the business, products, and operations, and own the data dictionary that keeps them consistent across the company.
• Own A/B experimentation end-to-end, from hypothesis and test design through analysis and the ship decision.
• Design and build reliable ETL pipelines and data models that make data trustworthy, well-documented, and easy to use.
• Work across experimentation, deep-dive analysis, forecasting, dashboards, and modeling.
