About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, machine learning, and data mining, with the ability to visualize and communicate complex data clearly and compellingly. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to identify, research, and solve complex analytical problems, analyzing large data sets to extract meaningful insights, and designing, building, and maintaining machine learning models and algorithms. Collaboration with data engineers to improve data collection and storage, and presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders are key aspects of this position. The role also supports the organization's broad-spectrum Data Management requirements, including Data Strategy/Modeling/Documentation, Data Feed Identification, Infrastructure Management, Data Ingestion/Data Feed Automation, Data Transformation, Data Catalog and Metadata Management, Data Quality Management, and Data Governance. Additionally, the Data Scientist will design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports, integrate Tableau with various data sources, and stay updated on the latest Tableau features and BI trends.

Requirements

Must meet requirements to obtain TS/SCI Clearance with a Poly
1-3 years experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.).
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc., including, but not limited to: data connection, data manipulation, data visualization
Knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and data visualization tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience with scripting in Tableau (e.g., automation, troubleshooting, integration, performance optimization)
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
Experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and data mining.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Tableau Certified Professional - Preferred
Current Security+ or DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
