Our team leads the design, development, and implementation of AI models for SAS customers across various industries. As a Data Scientist, you will drive solution development, testing, and implementation of SAS customer projects involving artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning. You will engage with customers at all levels to drive processes, adoption, and ensure project success. You will research and develop high-quality demos to illustrate the application of computer vision in solving practical problems. You will work closely with a team of SAS experts and collaborate with R&D and product management teams to improve SAS solutions and analytical products based on customer project experience. We seek individuals with a strong passion for solving customer problems, a desire for continuous learning, and adaptability in an evolving field. Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related quantitative field with at least 3 years of relevant full-time experience.
Strong research background in computer vision or machine learning model development
Experience in using open-source solutions to solve computer vision and machine learning problems.
Strong coding skills, preferably in Python or SAS
Experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform in both team and individual environments
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Nice To Haves

Experience in practical implementations of computer vision projects in industry and communicating directly with customers at different levels
Experience in deployment using Nvidia CUDA Toolkit
Experience with containers and Kubernetes
Experience working on external customer projects

Responsibilities

Drive the development, testing, and implementation of AI-centric SAS models.
Identify customer use cases and contribute to the model development strategy.
Partner with our engineering and product management teams to refine SAS model offerings.
Foster strong collaborations with customers, partners, sales, and pre-sales.
