About The Position

Peraton is seeking a junior-level Data Scientist to analyze and resolve questions related to national security issues facing the United States. The role contributes to intelligence production and supports the creation of internal capabilities that enhance the effectiveness of analytic teams. The position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, a master’s degree and at least 0 years of relevant experience, or no degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience. Four additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Data science background and experience using multiple programming languages, such as Python, R, and Ruby.
• Ability to provide technical support for data management improvements and database creation.
• Experience correlating and interpreting large amounts of data and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting.
• Proven interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to use critical thinking to resolve issues independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills, and ability to work effectively on a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze collected data and recommend opportunities to automate processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support the development of data collection strategies and identify opportunities to enhance collection.
• Support the ingestion, use, and management of data while ensuring activities comply with applicable customer and community standards.
• Maintain quality standards as directed by program leadership and support implementation of corrective actions as needed.
• Support initiatives to enhance customer tools and close capability gaps.
