About The Position

The Data Scientist will support finance transformation initiatives with a strong focus on SAP, system and process improvements, and automation. This highly project-driven role requires a strong change mindset and solid project management capabilities, working closely with Finance, Operations, and Digital/IT teams to enhance the accessibility, quality, and usability of operational and financial data.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working with SAP, particularly with Finance and Operations data.
  • Proven experience in data analytics, data science, or advanced reporting within a finance environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI for designing, automating, and maintaining dashboards and reports.
  • Hands-on SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Practical experience with process improvements, automation, and system optimization.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives end-to-end.
  • Experience in process management and process improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively across Finance, Operations, and Digital/IT teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
  • Proactive, change-oriented mindset with a strong drive to evolve data and automation practices.
  • Finance and accounting knowledge, with an understanding of key financial metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying analytics and automation in a SAP Finance and Operations context.
  • Experience with other dashboarding and reporting tools such as Tableau or similar solutions.
  • Familiarity with operational and financial KPIs, including product cost, investments, manpower, and CoPQ.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into concrete, automated analytical solutions.
  • Comfort working in a continuously evolving environment with multiple initiatives running in parallel.
  • Ability to explain complex analyses in a clear and accessible way to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support finance transformation by leading and executing key initiatives aligned with the Global Operations strategy.
  • Drive the transition toward improved accessibility and usability of Operations data in close collaboration with the Operations Business Digital Team and the Finance Data team.
  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and standardized reports covering areas such as product cost, investments, manpower, cost of poor quality (CoPQ), and operational and financial KPIs.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and consistency of data used in dashboards and reports.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization within finance reporting and analytics.
  • Implement process improvements and automation solutions to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Support ad hoc analyses and data-driven requests from Finance and Operations stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Digital/IT teams to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver relevant analytical solutions.
  • Act as a change agent by promoting best practices in data, analytics, and automation across the organization.
  • Communicate analysis results and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track project progress, manage timelines and deliverables, and ensure end-to-end execution of initiatives.
