About The Position
Valnet is looking for a Data Scientist to join our Tech team. In this role, you will design and deploy AI systems that improve how a large-scale digital publishing organization operates and grows. You will work cross-functionally with editorial, audience, and revenue teams to identify high-leverage opportunities and ship AI-driven solutions that create measurable impact. This is a build-and-ship role - not research. Your work goes live. It gets used. It drives results.
Requirements
- 1-5+ years of relevant experience in building and deploying AI-driven products or systems
- Proven builder: products, systems, startups, or internal tools that shipped
- Strong knowledge of LLMs, agent frameworks, automation pipelines, and applied AI systems
- Ability to move from concept → MVP → production quickly
- Comfort operating in ambiguity
- Bias toward execution and measurable outcomes
Nice To Haves
- Experience in digital media, growth, or performance-driven environments is a plus — but not required.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AI agents that improve workflow efficiency and scalability
- Design and integrate AI agents within existing infrastructure to reduce manual intervention and increase system-level efficiency
- Rapidly prototype, test, and deploy production-ready systems
- Measure impact through performance, efficiency, and revenue metrics
- Continuously iterate based on live data and user feedback
