About The Position

Our team drives Walmart’s e-commerce search backend by leveraging machine learning and advanced algorithms to deliver the most relevant product results. By applying expertise in data science, natural language processing, and large language modeling, the team continuously improves search accuracy and user experience. Collaborating across functions, the team supports scalable model deployment and data pipeline development, aiming to optimize business outcomes through innovative data-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical methods to develop and deploy analytical models.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, and Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge of data pipelines, data quality standards, and data governance principles.
  • Expertise in model assessment, validation, and tuning using advanced statistical techniques.
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions with a clear understanding of business context.
  • Experience with natural language processing and large language modeling applications.
  • Proven skills in coding, testing, and deploying scalable data science solutions in production environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
