About The Position

The Intermediate Data Scientist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating data science solutions to solve clinical and business problems. The Intermediate Data Scientist will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, mentor Associate Data Scientists, and work on projects from ideation to completion. The Intermediate Data Scientist is expected to contribute to the improvement of existing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Training in a quantitative discipline – mathematics, computer science, statistics, physics, econometrics, or a related discipline
  • Similar certified online education or work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a quantitative discipline health care, data science, statistics, or a related field
  • Experience working with revenue data and analytics (sales, marketing, customer success, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Experience working with SAS

Responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities for data-driven solutions, conducting advanced data analysis, and generating insights
  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating machine learning models and algorithms
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions
  • Mentoring and supporting Associate Data Scientists
  • Seeking appropriate data sources and ensuring data quality for projects
  • Developing new descriptive, inferential, and predictive models, and enhancing and fine-tuning existing models
  • Analyzing and interpreting data sets across various domains, including exploratory data analysis (EDA), advanced statistical analyses, and predictive analytics
  • Independently creating data visualizations and using storytelling methods to communicate model results and findings to stakeholders effectively
  • Actively pursuing opportunities to grow their business acumen and skills from more experienced team members
  • Providing support and recommendations to less experienced team members to enhance their technical skills
  • Adhering to the team’s application of best practices and organizational standards of the Software Development Lifecycle and machine learning operations (MLOps) to ensure reproducibility of findings and effective model deployment
