The manager is seeking a Data Scientist capable of designing and deploying advanced predictive models to increase the team’s analytical impact. This role aims to strengthen the ability to address complex problems and deliver concrete AI solutions with a high level of autonomy. The implicit objective is to elevate the team’s analytical maturity and bring in a professional who can influence and effectively communicate insights to partners.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical rigor, ability to solve complex problems, and skill in effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Python or other data science programming languages (R, SQL, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the Databricks platform (an asset).
  • Strong autonomy in project management along with the ability to handle complex data and apply predictive modeling and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and strong interest in artificial intelligence, particularly large language models and generative AI.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data science, including hands-on experience with key machine learning methods (regression, classification, decision trees, random forests, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field (a master's degree is an asset).
  • Advanced level of English proficiency, as the role involves using English-based tools, preparing presentations in English, and attending training sessions conducted in English on a weekly basis.

  • Identify opportunities to apply innovative analytical solutions across various sectors.
  • Develop artificial intelligence models and contribute to their operationalization using internal and external data to address concrete business needs.
  • Communicate and simplify complex model concepts (methods, results, impacts) for diverse audiences.
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends in data and advanced analytics, while promoting AI adoption within the organization.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and share expertise to advance analytics practices and deliver large-scale AI-driven projects.
