About The Position

MIRACORP is seeking a Data Scientist to support the Department of State, Directorate of Passport Services. The role uses complex data analysis and modeling to identify business trends and problems and develop data-driven solutions for the organization.

The Data Scientist independently analyzes large-scale data, interprets results from multiple sources, prepares datasets, develops analytical models and databases, and communicates findings and their implications for organizational needs.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.
• Must possess a SECRET personnel security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
• Experience or skills in big data analysis.
• Experience or skills in statistical analysis and data mining.
• Experience or skills in data preparation and modeling.
• Experience or skills in database development.
• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Ability to interpret results.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with the U.S. Department of State.
