Requirements

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, analytics, or data science
  • Experience with Python and SQL for data analysis, cleaning, and modeling
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Understanding of basic statistical methods, exploratory data analysis, and machine learning concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate findings clearly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in oil and gas operations, production, process engineering, or industrial data environments is an asset
  • Exposure to cloud, version control, or data engineering tools is an asset
  • Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent may be considered an asset depending on site requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical models to support operational monitoring, production optimization, and business decision-making
  • Analyze operational, maintenance, and process data to identify trends, anomalies, risks, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities while ensuring data quality and validating assumptions
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and business teams to understand problems, define data requirements, and deliver practical analytics solutions
  • Support development of predictive and descriptive models for equipment performance, process efficiency, reliability, forecasting and planning use cases
  • Translate complex data analysis and model outputs into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with data governance, documentation, regulatory compliance, and participate in field or site engagements to better understand assets, operations, and data sources
