About The Position

As a Data Scientist on the Business Banking Data & Analytics (D&A) Client Analytics Team, You'll support Business Banking Strategy by delivering data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making across the business. You will leverage your analytical expertise to support high-visibility projects and contribute to the development of materials for senior leaders (including external investors). Requirements

• Completion of Bachelor’s / Graduate degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, etc.) plus 4+ years of experience producing advanced analytics work with an emphasis in optimization.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with hands-on experience using statistical software packages and data tools, including Snowflake and Databricks.
• Demonstrated command of advanced statistical methods and concepts, including predictive modeling, time series forecasting, and text mining.
• Experience with data mining and visualization, including Tableau.
• Effective storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into digestible insights for audiences across levels; able to influence stakeholders, articulate value hypotheses, and secure sponsorship.
• Commitment to iterative development, including a proven ability to engage and update stakeholders bi-weekly (or as needed) to ensure alignment, incorporate feedback, and maintain transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Experience presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Financial Services, Consulting, or working with strategy teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Banking senior stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities, and develop data-driven solutions to address them.
• Apply statistical methods and data analysis to solve business problems, under guidance from senior team members.
• Support all project phases, from requirements gathering and analysis to delivering insights to senior leaders.
• Navigate large amounts of data from multiple sources, utilizing Python and SQL for data processing and analysis, while ensuring accuracy.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments/SMEs to ensure data quality and methodologies are applicable and accurate.
• Maintain data integrity and security, complying with all relevant regulations and protocols.
• Actively participate in learning and development opportunities, staying abreast of current trends and best practices in data science, and applying newfound knowledge to enhance job performance and project outcomes.
