About The Position

At Independent Software, as a Data Scientist Level 2, you will apply Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing techniques to analyze and characterize large language datasets. You will develop analytical tools and techniques to support data mining, analysis, and mission-focused research. This role combines hands-on AI/ML development with the analysis of large and complex language datasets.

Requirements

Experience using and/or developing AI and Machine Learning tools
Experience with Machine Learning model training and development
Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Experience working with large language datasets
Experience developing tools or techniques for data analysis
Experience with data mining and analytical techniques
Ability to perform qualitative data characterization
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical environment
Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role

Responsibilities

Apply AI and Machine Learning techniques to large language datasets
Use Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to analyze and triage language data
Develop and support AI/ML tools for data analysis
Perform model training and development
Develop analytical tools and techniques to support mission requirements
Perform data mining to identify patterns, relationships, and relevant information
Analyze and characterize large and complex datasets
Perform qualitative characterization of mission data
Evaluate analytical methods and model performance
Document methodologies, analytical processes, and findings
Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives
