Data Scientist Intern - MN, CO
About The Position
The Data Scientist Intern will support ISP in designing and optimizing business processes and data flows within the Databricks/XDF architecture. This role will involve both front-end user-facing work and back-end data engineering and analytics development in Databricks. The individual will contribute to a variety of use cases across the business, including model inputs and outputs, future project data management, ETL development for model workflows, application development, rate and cost analysis, and integration with enterprise data platforms outside of ISP. In addition, the Data Scientist will support ad hoc analytics and modeling initiatives across the company, partnering with teams in Resource Planning, Electric Distribution, Transmission, Gas, and other business areas to deliver data-driven solutions.
Requirements
- Current student, Graduate School
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics , Analytics / Business Analytics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (MIS/CIS), or similar
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

- Experience with python, pytorch and pyspark
