Position Summary: The SPS Commerce Technology Team succeeds together by building and advancing the world’s largest retail network. We develop reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that power modern retail supply chains. Our engineers are known for tackling complex challenges and finding practical, innovative solutions. An SPS Commerce internship is more than a summer job. During this 12-week paid experience, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real production systems, and be treated as a valued member of Team SPS from day one. Requirements

• Student pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related field
• Familiarity with Power BI and data visualization principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for storytelling with data.
• Basic understanding of Python and SQL for data manipulation
• Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a permanent, unrestricted basis. The company does not sponsor employment visas for this role, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Students entering their final year of study (“rising seniors”)
• Prior SPS Commerce internship experience
• Experience with Databricks.
• Experience with Power Automate or similar workflow tools.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative setting and be a team player
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily standups and planning sessions.
• Gain exposure to products, skills, and technologies used across a global Technology group
• Explore projects and initiatives across multiple technology teams
• Develop solutions to technology needs
• Ensure timely communication with key stakeholders of milestones and risks
• Analyze data flow using Databricks and internal reporting systems to guide documentation for productized solutions.
• Build Power BI reports to review operational efficiencies and identify areas for improvement.
• Create dashboards in Power BI to visualize team and individual performance during specific time cycles.
• Gather data from reporting sites to identify product usage trends and report findings using Power BI and potentially Power Automate.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Processing Team, Workstream Leaders, People Leaders, and Developers.
• Other duties as assigned
