Job Summary: As a Data Scientist Intern you will: Apply advanced analytics methods and algorithms to identify trends and propose business solutions. Support data science initiatives that increase profitability, efficiency, and customer experience. Collaborate with business partners and cross-functional teams. Participate in designing and developing algorithms and models. Present insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Help build and maintain a library of reusable, documented algorithms

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a university and/or college education in Canada and enrolled in a co-op program focused on Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Python and SQL is a must
  • Exposure to machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
  • Basic understanding of statistics, probability, and linear algebra applied to data science.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for learning and innovation
  • The successful student will be currently enrolled in a Canadian accredited university or college throughout the period of the Internship/Co-op program.
  • In addition, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid study/work permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to latest GenAI technologies like RAG, Agents, Prompt Engineering is a plus
  • Familiarity with GenAI frameworks like llamaindex/langchain is a plus
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably GCP) is a plus
