In office Tuesday – Thursday Join Our Team: Askuity is a Toronto-based retail analytics software company operating as an innovative division within The Home Depot. Our mission is to transform merchant–vendor collaboration by enabling AI-powered decision-making, predictive insights, and real-time retail execution. As a Data Scientist on the Askuity team, you will design, build, and deploy advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that drive measurable impact for The Home Depot and its suppliers. Job Summary: Our team is building Ask Fusion, a tool that makes it easier for suppliers to access key insights. As the platform grows, we need modular features that handle specific parts of the workflow reliably and at scale. This intern project supports that effort by helping us build one of these core components. The intern will build a small but important component of our Ask Fusion tool. Their work will focus on taking a specific user request, shaping it into the right format, and connecting it to our data systems. The work strengthens our analytics capabilities and reduces manual reporting effort. What You Bring to the Role: Currently pursuing a university and/or college education in Canada and enrolled in a co-op program focused on Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Python programming (functions, modules, basic testing) Experience with APIs or data workflows Understanding of data structures and JSON Basic familiarity with version control (Git) Clear communication and willingness to ask questions Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks Collaboration with technical and non-technical teammates Problem-solving and attention to detail GitHub (or similar) for code reviews Python development environment (VS Code, PyCharm, etc.) Optional but nice-to-have: familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud), Postman, or Jupyter notebooks The successful student will be currently enrolled in a Canadian accredited university or college throughout the period of the Internship/Co-op program. In addition, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid study/work permit. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a university and/or college education in Canada and enrolled in a co-op program focused on Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
