About The Position

JEA is seeking students for a paid 2027 summer internship. Interns gain real-world, on-the-job experience and opportunities to network with business professionals while developing leadership, professional etiquette, and presentation skills. As a Data Scientist Intern, you will explore how data informs decisions that support safe, reliable, and sustainable utility services. Work may include evaluating operational trends, supporting infrastructure planning, analyzing customer usage patterns, or contributing to energy and water efficiency initiatives. Projects help improve system performance and support JEA’s mission to serve the community. The position is located in Jacksonville, Florida, and requires availability to work 32 hours per week throughout the internship.

Requirements

Be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; applicants must submit a transcript to verify GPA.
Be available to work a 32-hour work week throughout the internship.
