About The Position

Join Lam as an AI/ML Engineer, where you will design, develop, and program methods to analyze unstructured and diverse big data and transform it into actionable insights. You will develop algorithms and automated processes to evaluate large data sets from disparate sources. Your expertise in generating, interpreting, and clearly communicating actionable insights enables Lam to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mathematical modeling and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases such as SQLite, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, R, or C++.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with domain-driven design and test-driven development.
• Familiarity with software development best practices in team settings, including version control (Git), documentation, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Work with various stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and customers to identify product requirements.
• Design the backend architecture using domain-driven design principles. Involve SMEs in the design loop to ensure domain accuracy and relevance.
• Write and execute tests, and debug issues in both front-end and back-end code.
• Set up environments, automate deployments, monitor performance, and perform regular updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to develop productivity products.
