About The Position

The Data Scientist will support the Deployables Operating Unit. As a member of the Industrial Engineering department, you’ll get to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and develop data analysis tools to promote data-driven decision making. This position will serve on-site at Oxnard, CA.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with SQL, Tableau, and/or Power BI

Nice To Haves

• Specific degree and focus in the Data Science field
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights
• Ability to troubleshoot with end users during development and after deployment of tools
• Experience influencing and facilitating cross functional teams to solve complex issues
• Understanding of basic lean manufacturing principles and KPIs

Responsibilities

• Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets.
• Builds interactive dashboards and reports using BI and visualization tools (Tableau and/or PowerBI) to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analysis may have many applications such as addressing a business issue or providing a competitive advantage for the organization.
• Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills.
