About The Position

Join Canadian Natural as a Data Science Student, where you will support the Control Systems team accountable for the reliability and availability of all DCS and control system assets. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Engineering.
  • Proven completion of formal training related to data science.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement forecasting models to predict future trends.
  • Utilize machine learning algorithms to analyze historical data and identify trends and anomalies.
  • Manage and streamline data processing workflows using data orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect) to ensure efficient execution of EDA and data manipulation tasks.
  • Develop interactive dashboards using visualization tools (e.g., Plotly Dash, Power BI) to present forecasting results and insights to stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure high-quality datasets, addressing anomalies, missing values, and outliers effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, integrate data from various sources (e.g., PI Process Book), and provide analytical support for operational improvements.
