Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for Data Science - Multi-Omics intern to be in PA Spring House. The Intern / Co-op term is from June to August, 2026. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Data Science Intern to support our research and development initiatives focusing on CAR-T Therapy. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work with our AI/ML team on developing develop a multimodal, patient-level scorecard that summarizes immune and CAR-T product characteristics by integrating data from CITE-seq, drug product analytics, as well as flow cytometry and bulk profiling approaches. By effectively designing this framework, we aim to strengthen our decision-making processes

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, bioinformatics and computational biology or a related field.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in AI/ML research and applications and or experience with CITE-seq and scRNA-seq assay analysis.
  • Strong publication record
  • Proficiency in Python, and experience with AI frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Python programming, numpy, pandas, scipy, scverse
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate and collaborate in a cross-functional setting
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical transcriptomics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the AI/ML team to develop and implement multimodal learning frameworks.
  • Analyze and aggregate different modalities through biological insights and maximize benefits from multimodal learning.
  • Present analytical findings to cross-functional teams, contextualizing results within broader project goals.
  • Draft technical papers for high impact conferences and/or journals
