Data Science Intern

Zillow•Seattle, WA
•$104,000 - $166,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Zillow’s Data Science and Analytics organization turns complex data into insights that inform decisions across the company. The Data Science Intern will apply quantitative and programming skills to a scoped, real-world project, working with data scientists and cross-functional partners to understand customer behavior, measure outcomes, and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience. With guidance from a manager and team, the intern will work through the analytical process, from defining a question and preparing data to interpreting results and sharing recommendations. The nine-week summer internship runs June 14 through August 13, 2027. Interns contribute to real business projects, build hands-on experience, connect with mentors and leaders, and participate in learning and community experiences with their intern cohort. Projects may focus on business reporting and insights, marketing strategy and measurement, product usage analysis, pricing strategies, or data products that support decision-making. The position is based in Seattle and follows a hybrid schedule, with interns generally working together in person Tuesday through Thursday. This role is categorized as an Office position; employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month and must live within reasonable commuting distance of their designated office. Eligible interns will receive a stipend to help offset summer housing and relocation costs.
