About The Position

Supports the Walgreens data science team by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to help influence key business decisions. Assists with building, testing, and validating statistical models and machine learning solutions that contribute to strategic initiatives and the goals of the supported function. Translates data-driven findings into clear insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.

The role also supports strategy development for the assigned business unit, analyzes information using various tools and resources, provides day-to-day support across Walgreens divisions, and may complete a project aligned with strategic priorities and present it to a manager or leadership upon completion.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with two semesters remaining upon the start date.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience communicating through written reports and presenting information in a formal or classroom setting.
• Experience collaborating with teams.
• Basic-level skill in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience using Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience writing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
