About The Position
The Data Science Intern will support ongoing AI and analytics initiatives. This internship focuses on enabling non‑technical users to access and analyze data by querying structured databases using natural language. The intern will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to support the development of an AI‑powered solution that delivers accurate, secure, and easy‑to‑understand responses in tabular, visual, or text formats.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Coursework or foundational knowledge in Python programming
- Coursework or foundational knowledge in SQL and database fundamentals
- Coursework or foundational knowledge in Data modeling and schema design
- Coursework or foundational knowledge in NLP or LLM concepts
Responsibilities
- Support the development of an AI solution that allows users to ask business questions using natural language (English and Spanish)
- Assist with connecting and querying service inventory and billing/order databases
- Contribute to chatbot development capable of answering basic operational and service questions
- Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders across the business
- Document solution requirements, data sources, and technical considerations
