About The Position

This position provides an excellent opportunity for a High School graduate or individual seeking to begin a career in office administration, data management, engineering support, or information technology support while gaining exposure to multiple business systems and processes. Cal Engineering Solutions is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Records Clerk to support our engineering and IT teams in the Alpharetta office. This entry-level position is responsible for transferring information between company systems, maintaining electronic records, and assisting with basic computer setup activities. The Data Records Clerk plays an important role in ensuring engineers have access to accurate and up-to-date project information while supporting daily administrative and technology-related functions. This position is ideal for a recent high school graduate or someone beginning a career in administrative, data management, or technical support roles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous office, administrative, customer service, or data entry experience.
  • Familiarity with electronic filing systems and document management.

Responsibilities

  • Download files, records, reports, and project information from designated company systems.
  • Upload and organize data into engineering platforms for employee access.
  • Verify information for accuracy and completeness before transferring data.
  • Maintain organized electronic filing systems and digital records.
  • Track completed uploads and downloads to ensure proper recordkeeping.
  • Assist with document organization and data management projects.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of company information.
  • Assist with setting up desktop and laptop computers for new employees.
  • Connect monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and other equipment.
  • Assist with inventory tracking of company computers and technology assets.
  • Help prepare equipment for employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Provide basic administrative support to the IT department.
  • Report data discrepancies or technical issues to management.
  • Perform general office and administrative duties as assigned.
