About The Position

The Data Quality Analyst helps oversee quality assessments across many aspects of FamilySearch. The role provides department leadership with reliable data from trusted source systems to support and influence decision-making. It involves accessing and integrating data for reporting and establishing data standards, quality, and reliability.

The analyst works with data from multiple systems, integrating structured and unstructured data to create standardized dashboards and reports. The role requires understanding relationships among data sources and includes ad hoc, in-depth analytical work and interpretation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years performing data validation across multiple systems, quality assessments, and configuration of reports and standardized dashboards.
• Understanding of basic statistical principles and probability sampling methodologies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present data graphically.
• Knowledge of process adherence and quality improvement processes.
• Ability to measure quality results against acceptance criteria and communicate performance.
• Ability to develop processes for evaluating effectiveness in meeting a standard.
• Detail-oriented approach and willingness to work with teams of volunteers and service missionaries on projects in many languages.
• Experience using Excel, Power BI, and other statistical, database, or programming software.
• Understanding of data accuracy, how data quality affects organizational results, and cross-functional data relationships across a system or organization.
• Must be a Church member worthy of a temple recommend to qualify for employment.
