About The Position

The Data Product Manager owns the strategy, roadmap, and business value of commercial data products within Project Butterfly. You will apply product management discipline to data—defining what gets built and why, driving adoption, and measuring impact across J&J MedTech’s AI-powered CXM platform on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent University degree in technical or business field required
  • 7+ years in digital product management, data product management, or commercial operations with proven ability to ship products and drive business outcomes.
  • Strong product fundamentals: discovery, roadmapping, prioritization, agile methodologies, and stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of commercial data domains (customer/account data, product data, sales, marketing, and service processes) or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience defining requirements, managing/influencing cross-functional teams, and working with technical stakeholders.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to define KPIs and make decisions based on metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM/CXM platforms (for example, Microsoft Dynamics 365), master data management, or data governance frameworks.
  • Experience in life sciences, MedTech, or B2B environments.
  • Exposure to analytics platforms, data quality tools, or AI/ML use cases.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to bridge business and technical audiences in global, matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for assigned commercial data products (foundational, experience, or analytical).
  • Define success metrics and continuously measure product adoption, quality, and business value delivery.
  • Collaborate with Experience BPO’s and business end-users to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Specify data models, critical data elements, required attributes, hierarchies, and business rules that maximize customer value.
  • Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria; partner with Data Analysts, Engineers, and business teams to drive execution.
  • Establish data quality metrics and engage data owners on improvement initiatives.
  • Build go-to-market plans including documentation in the data catalog, training, and enablement strategies.
  • Track adoption metrics and user feedback; iterate product based on insights.
  • Act as product evangelist—ensuring commercial users can successfully leverage data products for better decision-making.
