About The Position

The Data Product Manager will lead the delivery and evolution of critical data products for a government agency focused on the health sector. Working with data architects, data engineers, data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders, the role brings a technical product perspective to data ingestion, pipelines, curated data views and capabilities that turn complex data into meaningful insight and effective services. The role owns the data product lifecycle from discovery and strategy through delivery, adoption and ongoing improvement. It involves defining product roadmaps, managing backlogs, prioritising requirements and driving delivery across multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams on data feeds, ingestion, pipelines, data quality, governance, lineage, access controls and secure implementation. They will use user research, feedback and performance data to inform product decisions, demonstrate outcomes, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and align delivery with user needs, business value and Government Digital Service product management standards. This is an initially 3-to-6-month temporary contract, remote-working opportunity, outside IR35, at market rates. Candidates must have or be willing to undergo basic security clearance before starting; the stated lead time is 5–7 days.
