About The Position

YipitData is a leading market research and analytics firm for the disruptive economy, utilizing proprietary technology to analyze billions of alternative data points for actionable insights across various sectors. The company operates globally with offices in the US, APAC, and India, and fosters an award-winning, people-centric culture emphasizing transparency, ownership, and continuous mastery. YipitData Signals is a platform designed to help private investors assess private company performance by leveraging numerous proprietary spend datasets. This role is part of a small, agile Signals team operating within a billion-dollar company, offering the benefits of startup speed with enterprise resources. The Data Product Analyst will join this team to contribute to ambitious 2026 goals, taking ownership across multiple areas including vetting new data sources, conducting customer-facing analysis, building product feedback loops, and designing pipeline refactors to enhance accuracy. The position requires rapid onboarding, immediate ownership, and a high degree of autonomy, suitable for individuals with 4–6 years of experience eager to advance their data analysis skills, gain direct exposure to private investor clients, and thrive in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in data analytics, data operations, consulting, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience working with SQL, Python, Pyspark, or other programming languages to explore and transform large, complex datasets
  • Familiarity with GitHub and Databricks
  • Experience using sample or panel data to make precise estimates that guide decision-making
  • Proactively experiment with AI tools to increase speed, depth, and efficiency of analysis, and to unlock new approaches to problem-solving
  • Scrappy and resourceful—you figure things out without waiting to be told what to do
  • Thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments where priorities shift, and you need to adapt quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail and a natural instinct for spotting data anomalies
  • Communicate clearly and concisely—both in writing and verbally
  • Intellectually curious about technology markets, business trends, and care about how data is used to influence decision-making
  • Take ownership of problems and drive them to completion without constant oversight—on a small team, self-direction is essential

Responsibilities

  • Become a core owner of Signals data products – you will help prioritize and vet new data sources and design their incorporation into our pipelines and platform
  • Work closely with our AI and Data Engineering teams to build and maintain cutting-edge AI-tagging systems
  • Design, maintain, and run QA processes to validate data across hundreds of thousands of vendors, proactively catching issues before they reach clients
  • Investigate and resolve complex data quality issues independently. On a small team, there's no one to hand things off to; you own the problem through to resolution
  • Serve as a trusted resource for internal and external stakeholders by deeply understanding client use cases and aligning them with our data methodologies, coverage, and limitations
  • Conduct and deliver detailed analytical write-ups on specific vendors, sectors, or trends that showcase the power of Signals data and drive client engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Go-to-Market to ship improvements fast—whether that's adding new data to the platform, improving accuracy, or reducing data lag times
  • Help shape the product roadmap by translating customer feedback and data quality insights into actionable improvements
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, robustness, and data quality within team workflows and build AI automation where possible

Benefits

  • An outsized role on a small, high-growth team where your contributions are immediately visible and directly tied to revenue outcomes
  • The chance to help build a product from its early stages inside a well-funded, billion-dollar company
  • Exposure to top-tier PE firms and hedge funds as clients
  • Rapid professional development through breadth of responsibility
  • A team culture that values moving fast and building something great together
  • Flexible work hours
  • Flexible vacation
  • A generous 401K match
  • Parental leave
  • Team events
  • Wellness budget
  • Learning reimbursement
  • Competitive salary
