Requirements

  • Guiding enterprise-wide Data Privacy, Regulatory Compliance, and Data Governance programs within a multi-layered financial services environment, with an understanding of global privacy regulations and their application to business processes and change programs.
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior business, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Operations stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and embedding privacy-by-design principles into business strategy, transformation programs, products, and services.
  • Driving the implementation and continuous enhancement of privacy governance frameworks, privacy risk assessments, control environments, and regulatory compliance programs to ensure personal data is handled lawfully, transparently, and securely.
  • Investment Banking and Markets business activities, with the ability to assess privacy implications of new products, technologies, data uses, and regulatory changes, while balancing commercial targets with effective risk management and customer trust.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing and embedding Data Privacy governance frameworks, including privacy-by-design, privacy risk assessments, privacy notices, lawful basis assessments, and regulatory compliance requirements across business and technology change programs.

Responsibilities

  • Partnership with the local business unit to ensure successful implementation of data & records governance frameworks as appropriate to the needs of the business unit.
  • Provision of guidance and support on records classification, retention, storage, retrieval and disposal to business units.
  • Monitoring local data quality and records metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identification of opportunities for data improvement and optimisation.
  • Partnership with the relevant business unit to support their data priorities and ensure appropriate decisions related to data & records are embedded in their BAU decision making and change programs.
  • To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
