About The Position

This position functions within the Global Data & Analytics Team. This role is strategically designed to lead to the initial creation and implementation of an Operational Data Hub architecture. The Data Platform Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ERP Developers and Integration Services, to design and roll out scalable, enterprise-aligned data ingestion, transformation, and transmission solutions that support the organization’s digital transformation initiatives.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience designing and implementing operational data solutions, with a focus on event-driven architecture and real-time data processing.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Function Apps or equivalent serverless compute services to build scalable data workflows.
• Solid experience managing and optimizing Azure SQL Databases or similar relational database platforms for operational data storage and retrieval.
• Advanced SQL skills are required to support complex data mapping, transformation, and validation tasks within the Operational Data Hub.
• Familiarity with data ingestion and integration patterns involving ERP systems and enterprise application data flows.
• Ability to design and maintain reliable, secure, and perform data pipelines within cloud environments.
• Experience collaborating with integration teams and application owners to ensure seamless data exchange and transformation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational data issues and implement effective solutions.
• Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly document architectures, processes, and collaborate across distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar big data platforms is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of an enterprise-level Operational Data Hub architecture to support data integration and transformation initiatives.
• Develop and optimize data ingestion processes from various ERP and source systems, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Define and implement data transformation and enrichment logic to standardize and enhance raw data into enterprise-wide data entities.
• Coordinate data transmission workflows between internal systems and integration services to ensure seamless data exchange.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application owners, integration specialists, and data architects, to align data hub platform with business requirements and technical standards.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data management, including data validation, security, and governance within the Operational Data Hub environment.
• Support agile delivery methodologies by iteratively developing, testing, and deploying data solutions, while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure operational reliability and performance.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and contractors involved in the data hub development.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the Operational Data Hub capabilities.
