About The Position

Wind River is seeking a Data Engineering and Analytics Leader to oversee their data platform architecture, which supports business analytics and dashboard development. The company utilizes a modern data platform to provide data and metrics across the organization. The role involves architecting the overall product, guiding the team in data modeling for business-driven metrics, and creating robust dashboards and visualizations. Fluency in Wind River's data stack (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau) is required. The candidate must be comfortable interacting with various stakeholders, including executives, and thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science (emphasis in Data Engineering is a plus).
  • 10-12 years Data Engineering Development and visualization experience.
  • 6-8 years of Data Warehouse experience (Snowflake DWH preferred).
  • 6-8 years of SQL experience (Snowflake SQL preferred).
  • 2-4 years of dbt experience (semantic layer experience is a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience with Github.
  • 2-3 years of experience with CI/CD tools for the modern data stack.
  • 3-5 years of Tableau Cloud or a modern data stack experience.
  • 2+ years of Python development.
  • HTML and Javascript experience as it relates to Tableau are preferred.
  • Experience with Enterprise systems: Salesforce, Workday, Oracle, Oracle BI, Jira, Financial planning applications (Anaplan, Adaptive).
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a Green Card holder or US Citizen.
  • Must be able to engage in a security clearance process.

Nice To Haves

  • Emphasis in Data Engineering.
  • Semantic layer experience.
  • HTML and Javascript experiences as it relate to Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the data structure from ingestion to visualization using Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau.
  • Implement best practices for the data stack to ensure maintainability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Provide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development for Snowflake.
  • Exercise best practices in optimal data modeling for nonuniform sets of data.
  • Provide best practices for source code control with Github.
  • Design and maintain data security access controls.
  • Develop SQL, HTML, and/or Javascript code to optimize the stack or generate views for visualization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver to respective stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data developers.
