About The Position

HEPCO is seeking a Data Pipeline Migration Engineer to move existing Alteryx and R analytical workflows into Dataiku and SQL. You’ll translate business logic, validate the results against the original pipelines, and hand off production-ready workflows to the internal team. Convert R and Alteryx workflows into modular SQL and Dataiku visual or SQL recipes. Deploy and test pipelines in a cloud warehouse such as Redshift, Snowflake, or Athena. Check migrated outputs against the source pipelines using row counts, checksums, and other practical tests. Document transformation logic, lineage, assumptions, test results, deployment steps, and known limitations. Lead two or three focused knowledge transfer sessions for data science and analytics team members.

Requirements

2–4 years of data engineering experience, including pipeline migration or re-platforming.
Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
Experience translating R, Alteryx, or similar workflow logic into SQL or another target platform.
Ability to work independently, flag blockers early, and explain technical work clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Dataiku DSS.
Familiarity with dbt concepts.
Familiarity with Git.
