About The Position

Figure is an AI Robotics company focused on developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots designed for various tasks in both home and commercial markets. We are seeking a Data Operations Lead to join our Operations organization. This role will lead the team responsible for establishing new human data operations sites globally. Data operations is a critical and strategic function at Figure, and this position will oversee the entire process of launching new sites in new markets, from inception to full operation. The Lead will manage the team responsible for global launches, including entity and facility setup, hiring and training, hardware and software implementation, partnership development, community engagement, solving novel challenges, and coordinating with engineering and product teams.

Requirements

• 5-10 years in Operations roles at startups and/or global corporations
• Experience standing up new locations in international markets
• Demonstrated ability to own outcomes
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working across cultures or in international markets
• Highly organized with strong project management instincts, comfortable managing multiple sites, partners, and workstreams simultaneously and keeping all plates spinning
• A commitment to 5 days/week in-office collaboration

Nice To Haves

• Background in AI/ML companies or understanding of data collection for machine learning
• Fluency in Spanish
• Fluency in Arabic
• Experience managing physical-world operations in addition to digital platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead the global expansion team that stands up new data operations sites, owning launches from site selection through steady-state handoff to local operators
• Identify and launch in new geographies, managing entity setup, localization, facilities, partnerships, and community building to establish presence in target regions
• Build and continuously improve the expansion playbook: the repeatable systems, SOPs, and tooling that make each new site launch faster and more reliable than the last
• Coordinate with engineering, product, and ops to develop the new hardware, software, and operational systems each site needs
• Own the expansion dashboard, tracking volume, quality, and throughput across sites daily, identifying bottlenecks, and shipping operational fixes fast
• Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with local partners, agencies, and vendors to accelerate market entry and growth
• Serve as the connective tissue between new sites and internal teams, surfacing hardware and software friction, translating field feedback into actionable product improvements, and advocating for your team’s needs
• Hire, develop, and lead the people running launches, growing the team as expansion accelerates

Benefits

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $100,000 and $160,000 annually.
