About The Position

The Data Modeler works with business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to model current and new data. The role serves as a subject matter expert in data modeling, collaborates with others to support team effectiveness, takes responsibility for team decisions, engages across multiple teams, and contributes to key decisions. The Data Modeler provides solutions to problems within the immediate team and across teams, and supplies technical guidance for application and business requirements. This role requires working onsite with the client three days per week in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Requirements

At least 7 years of professional experience with data modeling techniques and methodologies.
At least 5 years of experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
At least 4 years of experience with data quality tools and methods.
At least 4 years of experience with data taxonomy.
At least 4 years of experience with data architecture and database design.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data models for current and new data requirements.
Apply data modeling techniques and methodologies to design effective data structures.
Work with business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to understand and translate data requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert for data modeling.
Support data quality and data taxonomy requirements and standards.
Take ownership of team-level technical decisions and outcomes.
Analyze and resolve data-related problems within the immediate team and across other teams.
Provide data modeling solutions and technical guidance to support application and business requirements.
