About The Position

While optimizing solutions for the enterprise across all business functions, the successful candidate will report into the Data Management and Governance group within the Customer Data & Analytics organization. This role will be focused primarily working with the US and Global Affiliates to design and implement Data Models that enable speed to insights and insights to action within a governed data platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressively complex related experience in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, data governance
• 6+ years of working experience with Data Modeling tools (ER Studio, ERwin) and methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault)
• Has strong knowledge of large scale data applications and building high volume data integrations (preferably in a pharma/biotech)
• Experience working in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud solution as well as on-prem Data Architectures (Redshift, Oracle)
• Domain and Platform knowledge of Veeva, Salesforce, Alteryx
• Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems.
• Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate data sources
• Systems Thinking – the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking)
• Knowledge of the business for which the enterprise architecture is being developed

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions in an agile environment working closely with Data Engineers, Infrastructure Experts, Business/Data Analysts, and Governance team members
• Design and Development of new Schemas that improve and enable Consumption, Search
• Partner with our Business Users to ensure the data architecture is solving key gaps and adding functionality
• Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure seamless integration with Biogen key data sources and tools (Veeva, EBS, Tableau, Qlik, Alteryx, others)
• Implement governance framework including use of metadata for the Global Commercial Data Catalog and new search technologies (ThoughtSpot)
