About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Data Modeler for a 6+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in North Carolina. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing data models for a data warehouse. The Data Modeler will utilize IBM InfoSphere Data Architect (IDA) to create logical and physical data models for deployment in Azure and Databricks environments, ensuring they align with business requirements and the company's data strategy.

Requirements

Senior level experience (10+ years) as a Data Modeler
Extensive experience with IBM IDA (InfoSphere Data Architect) to create logical and physical data models
Experience with implementing and maintaining data models in Azure and Databricks environments
Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and database design principles
Ability to collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize data models for the data warehouse, ensuring alignment with business requirements
Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems
Participate in data architecture and design discussions to ensure data modeling best practices are followed
Develop and maintain documentation of data models, data flow diagrams, and database design specifications
Work with stakeholders to ensure the data models support analytics, reporting, and data integration needs
Perform impact analysis of changes to existing models and collaborate with teams to assess the effects on downstream systems
Continuously improve and optimize data models to enhance performance and data accessibility
