About The Position

As a member of the Quality Analytics team at Electric Boat, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a culture of data-driven management to promote continuous improvement throughout the enterprise. The Quality Analytics team is a member of Electric Boat’s growing Business Intelligence community, and our products support business expansion and drive productivity throughout the enterprise through the communication of quality performance. The ideal candidate will enable the community’s growth and influence through championing data analytics principles and delivering actionable and reliable products to internal customers. Our team is actively modernizing quality data deliverables, with a strong emphasis on customer engagement and support. The competitive candidate will have examples of demonstrating customer focus, and the ability to convert legacy reporting into intuitive products.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of combined experience in data modeling, data visualization, and/or reporting
• Proficiency in SSAS development
• Proficiency in Power BI data visualizations
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Data literacy
• Data visualization and/or reporting
• SSAS Tabular Modeling
• DAX programming
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with others
• Willingness and eagerness to learn

Nice To Haves

• Experience in quality standards and the application of data analytics to assess quality performance
• Familiarity with Electric Boat’s data infrastructure, reporting requirements, business systems, and/or government compliance requirements
• Education beyond a bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data visualization, data science, or a related field
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as Copilet, Codex, Claude

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining SSAS tabular models
• Developing Power BI dashboards for data analytics and visualization
• Developing automations and processes that grow Quality’s data analytics infrastructure
• Championing data and modeling best-practices to improve our overall quality posture
• Mentoring and coaching customers on the effective operationalization of team products
• Refining and formalizing data and reporting governance standards
• Refining and formalizing modeling and reporting processes and requirements
• Supporting the evaluation and implementation of new technology solutions
• Training and supporting Power BI dashboard developers within the Quality organization
