About The Position

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Data manager position. The Data Manager (100% FTE) will oversee site-level data management activities for a multi-site research study, including data quality control, recruitment and retention tracking, preprocessing of tabulated, behavioral, and physiological data, data curation, and analysis. This role ensures data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with study protocols while coordinating closely with the Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC), Data Coordinating Center (DCC), and site investigators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, public health, epidemiology, psychology, neuroscience, biostatistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of (2-4) years of experience in multimodal data management, research coordination, or related role
  • At least (1) year of experience working with research datasets, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and quality control with a focus on generating datasets and supporting data analysis for scientific publications

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., biostatistics, data science, epidemiology, psychology)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS, Stata, Tableau, or similar)
  • Any amount of experience working with research datasets, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and quality control with a focus on generating datasets and supporting data analysis for scientific publications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Data Management Plan in coordination with the Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC), site Principal Investigator (PI), and Co-Investigators
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure data transparency, accessibility, usability, and reproducibility with the goal of enabling timely and effective analysis across all site and cross-site projects
  • Facilitate data sharing with the Bridge Analytics architecture, ensuring all data and associated documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with project standards (see Appendix C)
  • Meet regularly with the site PI and Co-Investigators to coordinate site-level efforts and generate weekly data quality reports to support and inform study activities
  • Meet regularly with the CCC Data Coordination Director, Primary Data Coordinating Center (DCC), and IMPACT site Data Managers to ensure alignment and consistency across the network
