About The Position

The Database Administrator plays a key role in maintaining the organization's data infrastructure and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of critical program and advocacy data. In this role, you will manage databases, develop reports and dashboards, support data-driven decision-making, and collaborate across departments to improve reporting processes and system performance. Your work will help ensure staff have the reliable data and tools needed to advance the organization's mission.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of database administration or data management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and advanced Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables).
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of database design, architecture, and reporting best practices.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support organizational decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Bonterra Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) or a comparable case management or CRM database.
  • Proficiency in R, Power Automate, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
  • Experience with nonprofit databases, reporting systems, or CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access and database administration best practices.
  • Experience creating automated workflows and interactive dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage program and advocacy data across internal databases and information systems.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support grants, reporting, and organizational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate data collection, entry, and reporting.
  • Create and maintain data management procedures, user guides, and documentation.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot database issues, and respond to staff data-related questions.
  • Train and support staff on database use, data entry, and reporting processes.
  • Upload, maintain, and manage data across internal and external information systems.
  • Prepare data for grant reporting, funding requirements, and program analysis.
  • Monitor, organize, and maintain data received from external partners and public sources.
  • Develop maps, dashboards, and other data visualization tools to support organizational initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy of website data and organizational reporting.
  • Stay current on database systems and data management best practices through ongoing professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
