About The Position

The Data Management Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and data management of the Children’s Network of Hillsborough programs. This role involves maintaining a central tracking system for children in out-of-home care, including provider rates and the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) data system. The position tracks changes in children's placements within the Circuit's system of care and alerts relevant parties to these events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field, or a combination of college coursework and experience at a level commensurate with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Five years of computer work experience, preferably in data management.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Computer experience in a Windows environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Ability to learn and utilize other software programs.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership to staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize initiative.
  • Ability to be organized and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s license check, and proof of insurance.
  • Criminal background screening (Fingerprinting~ Local Law Enforcement /FBI / FDLE, and Abuse Registry).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and coordination of Children’s Network of Hillsborough functions.
  • Directly supervise Data Management Specialists, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and disciplining employees.
  • Ensure prompt answering of calls/emails and that operators create tickets with required information on children's placements.
  • Coordinate the workload and training of data services staff.
  • Communicate information to case management organizations through agency directors and other staff to correct inefficiencies in data provision.
  • Manage the workload of Data Management Specialists to ensure steady workflow and prevent backlog.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payment validation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data entry and integrity with FSFN related requirements.
  • Participate in required training and development activities.
  • Report any acts, incidents, or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth relationships.
  • Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per policy and state guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
