Serving as the ‘voice of the customer,’ the Product Owner must build and manage key relationships, synthesize information from multiple sources, maintain business alignment in the Team Backlog, and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences—all with a bias toward delivering, and learning, quickly. Additionally, as the Product Owner you must: Translate product manager’s strategy into actionable features, stories and tasks Ensure alignment between product goals and overall business objectives Translate product manager’s strategy into actionable features, stories, and tasks Continuously refine and prioritize the backlog, ensuring it is up-to-date and reflects the latest priorities and insights Collaborate with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of backlog items and facilitate efficient delivery Accept completed user stories to ensure the work fulfills the acceptance criteria Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews Validate assumptions and business problems Define clear requirements Communicate the voice of the customer to the development team Communicate progress to key stakeholders throughout the sprint and release
